"When they live by the labour of their hands, then they are truly monks" - St Benedict.These words of St Benedict is a driving force in monasteries; an enormous source of inspiration for monks of Ewu who have left no stone unturned in making the most out of the very little within their disposal. There are Challenges![]() In an effort to diversify its work, the monastery keeps a few small sized ponds for raring fish. Due to the enormous challenges of running a fishery in a location like that of the monastery where availability of water is an enormous challenge, keeping the fish ponds alive all year round is virtually impossible and may continue to be so until the monastery is able to put in place not without the help of donors, a viable source of water.
